HUTTO, Texas — One of the most requested restaurants in Hutto may officially be on the way.
According to Hutto Mayor Mike Snyder, LongHorn Steakhouse has signed a lease to open in the new Sprouts-anchored development near Highway 79 and SH-130.
While final development approvals are still being worked through, the announcement marks another major milestone in the rapid commercial growth happening across Hutto.
For years, residents have repeatedly asked city leaders and developers to bring more sit-down dining options to the area, with LongHorn Steakhouse frequently topping community wish lists.
The proposed restaurant would be part of the growing retail corridor surrounding the upcoming Sprouts Farmers Market development — an area that continues attracting new shopping, dining, and commercial investment as Hutto’s population expands.
Mayor Snyder also hinted that additional restaurant announcements could be coming in the future as the development continues moving forward.
Before construction can fully proceed, the city is still working through traffic flow and access-related issues tied to the project area. However, momentum around the corridor continues building as developers push forward with multiple projects nearby.
The potential addition of LongHorn Steakhouse is another sign of how quickly Hutto is evolving from a small suburban community into one of the fastest-growing retail and residential markets in Central Texas.
As growth continues, many residents are already asking the next big question:
What restaurant should Hutto bring in next?
